About

A small, senior-led practice that builds fit-for-purpose AI agents.

We learn your specific pain points, then build and deploy AI agents made to tackle them. No generic tools. No juniors learning on the job. The people on your engagement are the people doing the work.

Alhassan Omar, Founder

13+ years of experience in transformation, with over half a decade in tech transformation at PwC. Digital service platforms, IT operating models, program delivery across multi-vendor consortia, and automated workflows for finance and compliance teams.

Our founder trained at PwC over a six-year tenure. The engagements most relevant to what we do now: the PMO for a $30M+ federal digital transformation across eight workstreams and five vendor contracts, digitizing 100+ public services for 13M+ residents. The IT operating model for a $5.5B energy carveout. Three emirate-level property services digitized to 90% process automation, integrated across a bank, a telecom operator, and a property developer, launched in front of 150,000+ attendees. And the Contact-to-Cash RPA build at a Big 4 firm that removed 50,000+ hours of manual work from the operating model annually.

BA in Economics from the University of Rochester on a full merit scholarship. Three languages.

The team

Our founder leads every engagement directly. Behind him is a retainer of ex-Big 4 consultants and AI engineers who join engagements as the work requires. The team scales to the problem, not the other way around.

This is deliberate. A lean team of senior practitioners delivers faster, with fewer coordination costs, and at a price point that makes the build worthwhile. For most of the workflows we automate, the cost of the engagement is a fraction of what it would take to hire, train, and retain the people to clear the same backlog manually.

Every engagement is designed to work alongside your existing department, not instead of it. Read how we think about AI and your team.

Why "Trestle"

A trestle is the load-bearing structure underneath a bridge. It is not what the bridge is known for. It is what makes the bridge possible.

The systems we build do the same job for our clients' finance, compliance, and reporting operations. The work has to hold under scrutiny.

Why now

The same pattern showed up at every organization we worked with over the last decade. Compliance and back-office work consuming senior hours. Tasks with clear rules and no automation. Audit exposure when something went wrong.

LLMs and structured automation are now reliable enough to fix this, but only when applied with engineering discipline. The result is that a small, senior team can now help a department clear the kind of operational backlog that used to require doubling the headcount.

The entity

The Trestle Group is a limited liability partnership registered in the United Kingdom. Most of our clients have a presence in the US, the UK, or both.
